Services

Editorial Services

Editorial services refer to the various types of support that authors can receive to help improve and polish their written work. These services can include editing, proofreading, fact-checking, and other types of support to ensure that a book or other written work is of the highest quality. There are several different types of editorial services that authors can consider:

Book Layout Design Basics

In a book, the text is confined to a tightly defined area on the page called the book block, where facing pages usually end on the same line. The exception may be the last page of a chapter.
The white space around the entire book block. White space is important and generous margins around the book block allow the eye to move comfortably from one line to the next.
Text must line up across the page. Book designers spend a lot of time adjusting the line spacing to make sure this happens, especially if there are headings and subheads, lists and illustrations.
Lines of text that are too close to each other (or too far apart) are difficult to read.

Book Formatting

Our team will work with your ideas and create a custom layout to match the theme and message of your book. Our designers use the gold standard of design software to design your book. We never use templates. Each book is custom designed by a professional book designer right here in our New Jersey office. You will receive proofs of your design to review and approve. And best of all, we stand behind our work, spearheading the industry in book design!
Do It Right

Here are a few key considerations when designing a cover for both a printed and ebook version of a book:

Overall, it is important to work with a skilled designer who has experience creating covers for both print and digital formats. A well-designed cover can help to make a book more appealing to potential readers and can be a key factor in its success.

Branding

The cover should reflect the branding and style of the book and should be consistent with the author's overall message and aesthetic.

Legibility

The cover should be legible and clear, both on the small screen of an ebook reader and in print. This may require using larger font sizes or simpler design elements.

Composition

The cover should be well-composed and visually appealing, with a strong focal point and good use of negative space.

File Format

The cover design should be saved in a high-resolution file format that will work well for both print and digital versions of the book.

Consider The Context

The cover should be appropriate for the book's genre and target audience, and should stand out among other books in the same category.

How It Works

The layour design and formatting process takes approximately 2 weeks to complete; the timeframe varies based on the number of revisions.
Once the formatting of your book is completed and approved, unique ISBN and barcode will be assigned. At this point your book will be ready for global distribution through or distribution network including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Apple iBooks, booksellers, libraries, along with Target and Walmart.
Layout Design services are offered a la carte or as part of a package.
